Lineshaft powered roller systems are an increasingly popular medium for product handling.  They consist of a roller bed driven by round bands from a lineshaft under the rollers.  This is driven by a geared motor via a belt or chain transmission.  The result being a very safe, user-friendly, low maintenance and cost effective system particularly suitable for boxed product or items carried on slave boards, trays and bins.  It is not essential to use a secondary carrying medium with this type of system, the main criteria  being that the roller pitch suits the product size.  An inherent feature of this type of system is that it allows accumulation along throughout its length this often being very important to the user.
